संस्था के प्रबन्धक श्री महल सिंह एवम अध्यक्ष श्री बलबीर सिंह की दूरदर्शी सोच एवं सामाजिक योगदान की भावना के फलस्वरूप ही इस विद्यालय की स्थापना की गई। विद्यालय का नामकरण सिक्खों के प्रथम पिता परमेश्वर श्री गुरु नानक देव जी नाम पर किया गया | ग्रामीण अंचल के बालक एवम बालिकाओं में सार्थक एवं जीवनोपयोगी शिक्षा की अलख जगाते हुए उनकी प्रतिभा विकसित करने के अवसर प्रदान करना तथा उन्हें अच्छे सामाजिक नागरिक बनाते हुए देश की प्रगति में योगदान करना इस विद्यालय का ध्येय है। शांत तथा सुविधाओं से सुसज्जित वातावरण में यहां छात्र तथा छात्राओं को चिन्तन-मनन-अध्ययन एवं खेलकूद व बहुमुखी प्रतिभा विकास की भरपूर सुविधाएं एवं अवसर उपलब्ध होते हैं, जिस कारण पिछले वर्षों में विद्यालय ने सभी मानकों पर श्रेष्ठ प्रदर्शन करते हुए अपनी विशिष्ट पहचान बनायी है। छात्र एवम छात्राओं के उत्साह, अभिभावकों के विश्वास, शिक्षकों की समर्पण की भावना, कर्मचारियों की कार्यकुशलता, प्रबंधकगण की दूरदर्शिता, तथा समस्त सम्मानित संरक्षकगणों के हार्दिक सहयोग द्वारा ही श्री गुरु नानक देव उ.मा.विद्यालय आशिक नगर खीरी की आज एक विशेष पहचान स्थापित हो सकी है तथा विद्यालय अपने ग्रामीण क्षेत्र के पिछड़े एवम निर्धन वर्ग को शिक्षा प्रदान करते हुए निरंतर नई उपलब्धियों की ओर अग्रसर है।
